Why we need you

As an Engineering Manager you will provide mentorship and leadership to a team of 6-8 Software Engineers who will be building OPN products which will be used by corporate clients around the world. These enterprise services and solutions will primarily revolve around E-Wallets, Payment solutions, and Platforms.

As we believe in moving quickly, you will also be coaching team members on Agile methodologies. You will also be expected to participate in code reviews, people management, reporting status, hiring, as well as aligning processes and resources with other Engineering teams within our organization. Ultimately you will help us create self-organizing teams that are flexible, innovative, and fully productive during sprints.

What you will be doing

  • Manage software projects end-to-end, setting requirements, goals and timelines
  • Cultivate an Agile software development team with processes that drive high performance and collaboration
  • Inspire team members to strive for improvement of their skills with passion in building our products
  • Ensure quality of software by practicing test-driven development, unit testing, pair programming and code reviews
  • Coordinate with Product Design and Architecture team to plan resource for product development roadmap

What you have

  • 7+ years of hands-on software development experience in commercial software product
  • 2+ years of management experience leading a team of developers
  • Experience using agile methodologies to plan, manage, and deliver the projects or product features
  • Close familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology and release processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Good to Have

  • Experience with any of the following programming languages Golang, Elixir, Erlang or Javascript
  • Experience with development of Financial related products
  • Experience managing remote engineering team
